SKALLI is a public sculpture by Patric Rogers commissioned as the winner of the 2026 Liverpool Sculpture Prize.
Installed beside Liverpool Parish Church and overlooking the River Mersey, the sculpture takes its name from the word "scally", a term deeply rooted within the cultural identity of Liverpool and the wider city region.
The work explores folklore, place and identity.
Drawing upon maritime history, local folklore and Liverpool's tradition of adopting and reinventing symbols, SKALLI proposes a contemporary folk figure rooted in the city and its river.
