Angelo Madonna shows the painting ‘ARACNE’ in Italy

Arachne (2001) is a visceral and primitive work, a material force that directly evokes the earth and instinct. The black, skeletal legs branching out from a formless, carnal center clearly suggest the figure of a spider, but also something human—vulnerable, marked by a physical/spiritual urgency.
Mixed media: Acrylic, natural materials such as earth and PVA glue.

The work is presented in the collective show Identita’ and Percezione - Identity and Perception and at the book launch Il Colpo di Sole - Sunstroke by Annabella Rossi.
